Would the Russian Navy send submarines to within the territorial waters of the US?

The territorial limit is 12NM.

My experience is over 1500 days submerged, in 3oceans and countless sea… both during and after the height of Soviet Cold War operations.

Entering another nations recognized territorial seas submerged without permission is an act of war. I am so tired of people who try to make them selves seem braver by saying nonsense and suggesting other things.

Besides for much of the world 12 miles out to sea is shallower than the minimum allowable depth under keel for safe operations…

Now most naval exercises occur further than 12 NM to sea. If a navy cannot get out 12 miles then perhaps they shouldn’t trust their machines to submerge and resurface.
