Why is Trump scrambling for allies in his trade war with China?

Trump wants China to make a deal

He doesn’t want to be seen bending down because he grew up between 1962 and 1991 (16–45) when the US was the mightiest power in the world and won the Cold War against the highly formidable Soviet Union

In his mindset China is a trading nation which depends entirely on exports and trade for its survival

He doesn’t see China as an equal at all

So he wants to put as much pressure on China as possible to get them to the table

Pretty much the way EU and Biden wanted to being Putin to the table

These Americans don’t have a reverse gear

Their arrogance is so high that in their mind, they don’t ever back down

Not against China

Unfortunately China like Russia is genuinely extremely strong and it’s strength has grown substantially since 2018

It can’t be contained even with the entire world against it unless Russia joins the alliance

Trump must realize China is a Great Power now alongside the US & Russia

Trump is just making a big gamble:

He tries to squeeze all the countries that export to the US and subsidise the cost of living for Americans with money from people all over the world, with all the costs ultimately borne by the exporting countries.

His strategy is ‘Maximum pressure’. He first seeks trouble with US allies, hoping that they will take the lead in yielding to the US and exporting their interests to the US, thus being packaged by Trump as an example of the success of ‘Maximum pressure’. Only when America’s allies have completely submitted to him will he ask them to cooperate with the United States in containing China.

Unfortunately, his allies betrayed him, his staff resigned one after another, and this big gamble is facing collapse.

Bypass the U.S. market and make other markets bigger’ is how many countries think as well.

U.S. bonds are being sold off on a large scale, partly because of this, Trump makes the United States lose its credibility, and the risk of U.S. debt defaults is getting bigger and bigger.

So we see that Spain’s prime minister visited China to cooperate with China; Argentina back-stabbed the United States and signed a currency swap agreement with China; Saudi Arabia and South Africa’s top brass, and China’s commerce minister spoke on the phone; Russia made it clear that it would cooperate actively with China no matter what the situation; and the European Union has agreed to new negotiations on the cancellation of the EU tariffs on electric cars in China…On top of that, in other parts of Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe, positive signals are being sent to China.

Trump’s stirring up of a tariff war has helped to create a bigger pie for China to work with and make with non-US markets around the world.

Former U.S. Secretary of State Abraham Blinken couldn’t stand to watch, accusing Trump of behaving not to put ‘America First’ but to ‘isolate America’, depleting the national credibility of the U.S. All countries will no longer trust the U.S., and will ultimately find ways to stay away from the U.S. and bypass the America.

More and more countries have realised that the best way to restore the order of economic globalisation and achieve rapid economic development is to support China in dealing with US economic bullying.

China is not betting against Trump by staying the course, but is moving forward in a solid way, but the Americans have so far arrogantly argued – China must rely on the United States to have a way out.
