Why do liberals, when they lose a discussion because you show them proof, block you from responding?

To be honest, EVERY TIME a liberal is shown actual verifiable proof – you know, the kind grand juries use to indict people, relying on investigations and sworn testimony, rather than social media posts and/or “news” sources who’ve had to pay hundreds of millions in lawsuits after admitting to lying – they’re convinced.

Now MAGA Republican cultists, they believe anything they’re told without the nuisance of reality, proof, facts, or truth. See, we seem to have a different definition of proof.

Hunter Biden failed to pay taxes during the period he was suffering from addiction. And he should be treated just like any other citizen guilty of the same crime. No more, no less.

Everybody around the world knows who’s afraid of facts and evidence, who you ask, who else, the Republicans. What they call evidence is misinformation and lies from their propaganda social media sites. You can make up anything, no matter how ridiculous it sounds, put it on a propaganda media site for the Republicans and their followers will mindlessly eat it up and believe every single word of it

When irrefutable facts and/or evidence are put in front of them they do one of three things, they ignore you, yell louder than you and change the subject or just turn their backs and walk away. That makes them think, in their narrow, closed little minds, that they won. Yeah, they’re that stupid.

I am a liberal. I enjoy discussions with others, and sometimes they change my mind on a topic, and sometimes I change theirs. More often than not, we will agree to disagree and keep it moving. I will engage all day, every day when I feel the other person is open and willing and reasonable and sincere.

When it’s clear that they are using manipulation and stunts to prevail, or that they’re claiming things as proof/evidence that are insubstantial, unsubstantiated, circular, or downright fake, I will usually give a warning. If it becomes clear that they don’t want to discuss, they want to own, I will block them. I have no time and no inclination to listen to the same horseshit that got them ignoring facts, science, and reality.

And, by the way, I’ll bet you—just based on how you framed you “question”—that they don’t feel they’ve lost by any reasonable or objective measure. They just don’t want to hear uninformed, unsubstantiated, insincere talking points anymore. As Robert Heinlein said, “Never try to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time, and annoys the pig.”
