It could take longer than American missile stocks last I’m afraid.

Iran is scenic and doesn’t lack hiding places

This isn’t 2020 any more, when USA still had friends and allies to completent their cabale military. It’s 2026 and the war is between USA and Israel on one side and Iran supported by Russia and China on the other.

USA isn’t able to rely on anyone else and it conducted a thorugh purge in the military, replacing top talent with loyalists. Yes it has the most toys and the best toys a runaway military budget can provide, but there is a limited quantity and USA went in blind.

It turns out when you kick out competent people who intend to uphold their oaths of service with people who are happy to have the job they were never qualified to do, that tends to create nasty consequences.

Iran also spent these years perfecting ways to interfere with shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Their weapons don’t require great sophistication and Iran can import critical components from China. China will happily provide them for future deliveries of oil and to damage USA a little more.

USA can pound Iran into dust if it so desires. It won’t damage Iranian produciton capabilities sufficiently to allow for safe passage through the strait. But hey, at least the budget is under control right? Not like with those democrats, always spending more than they should.
