Trump’s hatred for Canada just keeps building. Now he threatens to throw them out of the Five Eyes.

Are the other Four Eyes even sharing with the US now that they openly side with Russia and North Korea?

An American here. Until my retirement I was employed by a well known contractor to the Department of Energy. I had a Q clearance for most of my employment, and, for over a decade, a TS-NSI clearance.

I retired in mid 2017, but I have kept close track of Trump’s public interactions with the intelligence community. I can’t speak from direct knowledge of the reactions of the other four countries, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK, but I can make a reasonable guess.

I suspect that even before his 2024 election they had become very reluctant to participate in any intelligence he could access. During his term in office from 2017–2021, he had shown at best naive friendliness to Russia and North Korea.

His meeting with the Russian ambassador and its release of foreign intelligence, his essentially undocumented meeting with Putin, his frequent praise of Putin, and his other public intelligence leaks, all showed that he couldn’t be trusted with any intelligence related to Russia.

This lack of trustworthiness was emphasized after leaving office by his treatment of the Mar-a-Lago classified documents and his praise of Putin’s invasion of the Ukraine.

Since being elected his behavior has further emphasized his complete lack of trustworthiness in anything dealing with intelligence in general, but particularly that involving Russia.

His attacks on the other members of the five eyes, Canada in particular, his denigration of our intelligence agencies, his continued praise of Putin, his tariff wars against our best allies, his appointment of Defense and Intelligence officials who have vocally supported Russia, and his betrayal of Ukraine all emphasize his complete untrustworthiness in anything involving intelligence.

If I were one of the other four eyes I would have stopped distributing intelligence to the US as soon as it appeared likely that he would be elected. After his election I would have continued to withhold intelligence from the US. At this time I expect that the five eyes program exists only in name.

Here’s the thing. The G7, a cherished annual summit between the top 7 economies of the world, going for like 30+ years now, is being hosted by Canada on June 15–17.

Is the Orange Bozo who thinks with his hemorrhoids and not with his left-&-right lobes, even going to show up?

I hope G7 invites Mexico & Ukraine to the event as a birthday gift to Donald since the Toad turns 79 on June 14!

Lord help us all!!
