Pretty much all lies.
The Omaha meat packing plant complied 100% with E-verify to make sure their employees were here legally.
Then Miller revoked the work permits of 200,000 migrant workers, instantly making them “illegal aliens”
Then sent ICE to the plant to round them up.
The owner of the plant called his representative to complain. Bacon, the representative laid the blame on Miller, and even said “ICE is a victim in this too.”
Two days later, the plant was getting a lot of applications. FROM IMMIGRANTS.
**UPDATE June 20, 2025**
“The Omaha meat-packing plant raided by ICE On June 10, 2025 ceased operations and closed their doors due to not having enough workers to keep the plant in operation.
Glen Valley Foods employed over 200 people, who now have no jobs.
Restaurants and retail grocery stores in the area lost their primary source for fresh beef, and will have to get it ftom other processors, resulting in higher prices.”
First off, which meat packing plant? Where did this happen? When did this happen? Cite your sources otherwise we can assume you made it all up.
But secondly, if this is true, why aren’t you mad at the employer? By your own statement here, the employer at this meat packing plant had 76 jobs that could and should be going to US citizens, or at the very least people legally residing in the country, jobs they are clearly willing to do, and yet they hired undocumenteds who have no right to live or work in the US instead. Isn’t that the problem here?
Shouldn’t your question be why did they hire 76 undocumented workers instead of citizens or legal residents? Don’t try to tell me that they didn’t know. Isn’t it their job to know who they are hiring? Aren’t they required to check that someone is eligible to work before hiring them? That’s certainly been the case for any job I’ve applied for.
Is it because they can pay them less than they would have to pay a citizen and don’t need to provide any benefits or abide by labour regulations that would eat into their profits? Is it because there is literally no consequences for them doing so?
Was the CEO also arrested in the raid? Was the plant manager? Was the company hit with any fines? Did they face any repercussions whatsoever for their actions?
I don’t know, sounds to me like you should be demanding consequences for the employer for knowingly hiring undocumenteds in the first place when there are clearly so many legal workers who are willing to do the same job.
