A former pilot claims that Trump flew to Epstein’s island 37 times. Would he be able to do that without any paper trail?

Well, that is a pretty obvious lie.

The real name of “Epstein’s island” is Little St James. And it is absolutely tiny – it has no landing strip, and is far too small for any aircraft to land there (and too hilly, but that’s a different point). Although I have never set foot on it myself, I have been by it many, many times.

So anyone claiming to have flown a jet there is absolutely, 100%, unquestionably not telling the truth.

The nearest airport they could have flown to would be nearby Charlotte Amalie. But how would a pilot who flew into Charlotte Amalie have any idea what onward travels plans his passengers have?

So lots of comments suggesting “it could have been a *helicopter* pilot” or (less probably) a seaplane. But the original story (which circulated on Facebook) was by a person who claimed to be an Air Canada pilot. However fact checking by Snopes and others suggested that the poster’s qualifications and employment history were fabricated. They also pointed out (i) no airstrip, and (ii) nobody was able to find any supporting evidence for the claim, despite the fact that flight logs show seven other occasions when Trump *did* fly on Epstein’s plane elsewhere. All of which points in the same direction: it was just another false claim made up on social media which went viral with zero fact checking by most people who reposted it.

I don’t know about that pilot’s claims, but the answer is that Trump would not be able to fly to Epstein’s island without a paper trail.

That’s why Trump’s name is all over the Epstein files.

The amount of skeazy activities that Trump and Epstein got up to that are already in the public record is huge. Trump did not hide his womanizing ways and indeed even tried to play that up in the media. Yes, even the stuff about chasing very young women and touring the dressing rooms of his underage beauty pageant contestants.

Trump is a sexual predator. We’ve known that for so very long. At least anybody who kept their ears open did, but the modern GOP has become quite adept at closing their ears to information they don’t like.

PS: Trump also just got Ghislaine Maxwell (probably the country’s most well-known sexual predator and human trafficker) transferred to a minimum security prison where she’ll have a relatively easy go of things. It’s a deal so obvious in its corruption that even many MAGA folks are having trouble buying the official explanation there.

While I dislike Trump to the point where I wouldn’t shake his hand if I were put in that position let’s be honest about things. Epstein’s former island (He’s dead so he no longer owns it) has/had a helipad, not a runway. So unless your friend is saying that he ferried Trump from the main airport in the US Virgin Islands or he flew him over in a seaplane, then he’s not stating the facts.

Would he have been able to fly him without a paper trail?

Possibly.

Short distance flights to private air facilities normally do not require a passenger manifest unless the owner of the facility or his/her insurer require it. So if Jeffrey Epstein wanted to be discreet about who was at his place and when, he would have them met at the main airport and then escorted to a waiting helicopter or seaplane for the brief flight out to his estate. The aircraft would need to coordinate its takeoff with a tower to prevent mishaps; however it wouldn’t have to provide a listing of its passengers or cargo.

Now if your friend’s claim is that he worked for a charter hired by Epstein or piloted Epstein’s personal aircraft and Trump was onboard the flight from wherever to the US Virgin Islands, then that’s another thing entirely. It still seems improbable (the likelihood that the same person would be available for all of those flights on different days in different months and years is unlikely) however it might explain how he saw Donald Trump each of those times when he claims to have done so.

The lack of a paper trail would be from the airport to the island, not from the mainland to the airport.
