Disgusting nonsense. Firstly, the US supports freedom of religion and the separation of church and state. Secondly, there is very little about homosexuality in the Bible. But it does say anybody who works on a Sunday should be put to death. So if you wanted the country to be a Christian that followed the Bible down to the letter then there would be capital punishment for almost everyone who works in restaurants, hotels or public transport.
Just admit that you are against homosexuality because you are full of hate of people different from you and just using religion as an excuse.
Actually, homosexuality/gay marriage was illegal in America for a really long time, up until the year of 2015, when it was finally legalized. You homophobes have had it your way for the longest fucking time, and now that we gay people are being given equal rights to straight people (not MORE rights than straight people, EQUAL rights), y’all decide to complain about it? Grow the fuck up! It’s time to recognize that gay people are people too!
If you have such a problem with gay marriage, then don’t go to a gay wedding and don’t have a gay wedding yourself. There’s absolutely no reason why gay people shouldn’t be allowed to exist without shame!
A Christian nation? The founding fathers would beg to differ. As a matter of fact here’s a few handy dandy quotes just to dispel any doubts you might have.

But really though, damn those pesky facts. They really don’t seem to align with that Christian nation talking point you got going there.
Religious beliefs do not and should not affect the laws and governance of this nation and your assertion that homosexuality is a sin IS a religious belief. As such, your ignorant and backwards assertions don’t matter one bit. I have the right to love whoever I damn well please and you can just mind your own damn business and keep that nonsense from your book of fairy tales to yourself.
Edit: Wow this has gotten a lot of attention! So I’d like to add a few things.
I am well aware of the founder father’s views on homosexuality, as well as the misogynistic and racist attitudes which were prevalent in those days. They are not absolved of the crimes they committed, like slavery and the widescale genocide of native peoples and we need to teach about the real harm they created by perpetuating their bigotted attitudes.
I am also aware that homosexuality was illegal in the US for many years as well as the landmark court cases that gave us the rights we should have had all along.
Also worth noting anti sodomy laws are still on the books in some states including THE ONE I LIVE IN.
And another point worth bringing up the biblical text originally refers to pedophilia and not homosexuality but was changed. That being said, it really does not matter BECAUSE the far right evangelicals believe the bible condemns queer folk and they are weaponizing those beliefs against people like me.
