Yes, the Eisenhower was sunk.

Fortunately close NATO ally the United Kingdom stepped in to help – you see the Argentines managed to sink HMS Invincible three times during the Falklands War, and yet a special unit of the Women’s Auxiliary Balloon Corps dedicated to information operations managed to silence all of the families of the lost sailors, and remove any trace of the second, third and fourth Invincible-class carriers (Indigestible, Incredible and Incredulous) and send them post-haste to the South Atlantic with hastily-crayoned nameplates and pennant numbers.

The WABC were quickly able to do the same trick with the Eisenhower – I bet if you trawl the entire internet you won’t find any trace of the real sixth Nimitz-class carrier, the USS Michael Dukakis. That’s how good the WABC are, all trace of the ship will already be gone and the ship renamed Eisenhower as if it all never happened.

Either that, or the Houthis’ eight-year long campaign of lobbing missiles at USN warships with absolutely zero effect remains as pointless as it’s ever been, and the Argentine Air Force/Navy were just mistaken and too embarrassed to admit it.
